Since 1990, extreme melting episodes increased at a rate of 2.8 million km² per decade. Melt water has increased more than sixfold, rising from 12.7 gigatons per decade to 82.4 gigatons per decade.

I am sure those researchers have great personalities. But they should stop being so negative about their research.
People are tired of all the bad news and negative spin, they should be way more positive and optimistic about it.
