He’s just going to drop them in the middle of Iran isn’t he?
Can’t take the airport because it is literally a parking lot, Can’t realy stage forces anywhere, without them eating drones and rockets so it’s either a drop or beach landing.
I can see Hegseth pushing for a drop so his name would be tied to an historic event.
But God damn I don’t envy the guys that jump.
He should do the airport.
Would really tie it all together.
That’s what we would do normally, insert a relatively small group on the airport, take control then bring in all the other troops. But Iran isn’t stupid so they have covered the runways with shit. Dropping guys on it would be risky and it would be very hard to clear with a small force.
There is probably something I am missing but I don’t see a good way to get troops on the ground.
Edit: I have spent the day looking at this the only viable solution I see is send cruise missiles to completely knock out the electric system while also sending in a massive air asualt, but then you have the issue of staging all the choppers somewhere.
This is going to be a nightmare.

And the “beach” in Iran mostly looks like a mountain rising from the sea, so they’ll go single file over small roads with heavy equipment while eating drones.
Talks are going great we are going to bomb the fuck out of them but not now maybe five days cause things are going so great but also let’s send thousands of elite troops just in case this war that isn’t a war but is actually already won keeps going even though we’ve killed everybody and bombed everything
