And stupid yanks choose to believe them

They want other countries to be shitholes like 'Murica so badly because they can’t handle the fact that the rest of the world doesn’t want to be America, we don’t want them to be involved in our lives, and we just want them to fuck off and sit in the corner to drink wallpaper paste and eat crayons

You’re right mate. Fucking Americans are inbred cunts. So glad I don’t live in that actual shithole country.

The people targeted by videos of places in the UK most Americans don’t even know exist aren’t Americans. You’re delusional if you think the same sort of reactionary racist Boomers who eat this shit up in the US don’t exist all across Europe.

I live only about 1 hour outside of a city that has received these sorts of fake videos online. My coworkers and neighbors believe them. They’re actually scared. They insist they need a gun for protection if they need to go to the city. A city they refuse to travel to. Because the TikTok videos are too scary. Seriously. And it’s only gotten worse over time. They believe the city is literally burning down with roaming gangs everywhere.

This is the same playbook and it’s being run across the globe.

I’ve had yanks talk about knife crime, like it’s a justification for their obsession with firearms

The worst places for knife crime in the UK pale in comparison to the average knife crime rates in cities in the US

And then there’s the general assault stats

The US is more dangerous across the board than the UK

I live in paradise, where shoplifting just about makes the front page. I don’t lock my house up. I have absolutely zero fear of someone breaking into my place

I’ve had Americans tell me that they wouldn’t feel safe living here, because they’d be worried that people would see it as an easy target for crime

Fear is so ingrained that they seem to need it

I suspect that it’s because they can use fear to justify hate, and they really like hating over there.

You’re the second person today I’ve seen say Americans live In fear and you’re both right. It makes so much sense.

I’d love for someone to elaborate on this

The problem isn’t just Americans.

In January, pollster YouGov released new data suggesting a majority of Britons now believe London is unsafe

This rubbish is spreading across the entire country and fuelling right-wing political discourse.
