I’m glad Meloni & consorts aren’t as much Trump loving idiots as I was expecting. I guess they are just opportunistic and are now seeing the decline of Trump’s popularity
The primary reason for that swing appears to have been trump’s comments against the pope.
The timeline exposed in the article refutes this, it had been happening much earlier.
For the AirBus deal, yes. But I didn’t read the comment I was responding to as being specifically about that deal.
Nothing can ever be ascribed to a single thing entirely. I think both are true and contributed as independent factors.
That and the Iran war
And they Trump wanted to throw Ukraine under the bus while Meloni keeps supporting Ukraine.
And Italy got tariffed with all the rest. Loyalty didn’t get rewarded much.
