Air Transat is cancelling its last two flights into Florida as of this spring, suspending all of its business into the United States.

It makes sense for them to cut those flights if there’s insufficient demand. But at the same time, not much of value is being lost. I flew Air Transat years ago on a long haul flight. I was warned beforehand it would be a no-frills flight. But holy shit, that was an understatement.
They were flying two flights a day to both locations.
Combined with Westjet dropping a large number of US flights as well, it is a noticeable drop.
Ya, it’s mostly a charter airline.
I’ve flown with them once, but i was very happy with the experience. That might be because I’m used to Ryanair though.
Haha yeah. That’s a very very low bar.
Is that supposed to be a bad thing?
Transat is a mostly South and East flier from the east half of Canada. So this is pretty big that their southward flights from Canada are going to skip touching the ground anywhere in the USA.
