Do you have a reading mode button at the top? I just enable reading mode (But in Waterfox) and it starts to function without paywalls or popups.

hot_mocha_decaf@lemmy.cafe on 03 May 03:54 collapse

No reader mode button is presented, unfortunately. I use a vpn, but I dont think Ive seen this type of page before from vpn blocking.

TwoTiredMice@feddit.dk on 03 May 05:50 collapse

I work fine here, but only without VPN activated. With VPN on is does not work and I get the same warninf as you.

GMac@feddit.org on 03 May 07:52 collapse

Reads for me on fennec with javascript disabled over VPN

Blocking JavaScript gets you round most paywalls and geoblocking

Trump doesn’t believe in climate change, but he won’t be able to escape it.

HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca on 03 May 03:26 next collapse

The working plan is that their wealth + AI will allow them to survive well enough, without having to deal with us pesky poors anymore.

It’s not hard to imagine. Just imagine you had zero moral compass, and all the resources they do. What logically makes sense? No, not taking care of everyone. Bigger fence, not bigger table. And eventually the necessities of life, like not having a drone explode you, will only be availabile behind the fence.

tomiant@piefed.social on 03 May 04:42 next collapse

Unfortunately, neither will we.

then_three_more@lemmy.world on 03 May 05:47 collapse

He’s 79, and by all accounts not in the best of health. He’ll escape it.

tomiant@piefed.social on 03 May 04:45 next collapse

I don’t put too much trust in usatoday to give me trustworthy news on climate topics.

Casterial@lemmy.world on 03 May 05:10 next collapse

We’ll never be able to fix the climate issue while Trump and millions around the globe go “it was cold here hurhur! What global warming?!”

Vorticity@lemmy.world on 03 May 05:29 next collapse

Climate scientists have been warning about this for at least a decade. They’re just not being heeded.

This might actually save our skiing conditions here in Norway after all, it looked dire for a while.

Buffalox@lemmy.world on 03 May 07:28 collapse

IDK if you are joking, but if this pump stops working, Norway is kind of fucked, and will become as hostile to live in as Siberia, and most harbors will become unusable most of the year, as the water will freeze around Norway.

rwdf@lemmy.world on 03 May 08:46 collapse

Joking, of course. It would be hell, indeed.

Buffalox@lemmy.world on 03 May 09:37 collapse

OK, that’s good, but you can’t say of course.

Not world news, it’s geoblocked for 470 million Europeans.

Yes I could read it with a VPN, but the source is not worth the trouble.
