Putin, MBS, Genocide Joe… The state is violently controlled by disgusting sociopaths.

Badeendje@lemmy.world on 05 Oct 2024 10:46 next collapse

All the same, right? Silly stance!

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world on 05 Oct 2024 11:54 next collapse

Are we still doing the Genocide Joe thing? I thought people like you had moved on to “Holocaust Harris” or whatever.

ThrowawayPermanente@sh.itjust.works on 05 Oct 2024 12:27 collapse

We’re going to keep doing the Genocide Joe thing until Donald Trump has the nuclear codes

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world on 05 Oct 2024 12:32 collapse

“Until?”

You’re hoping for a Trump victory?

You like the idea of additional genocides on top of the ones already going on?

celsiustimeline@lemmy.dbzer0.com on 05 Oct 2024 12:45 collapse

They were illustrating that the morons who parrot “Genocide Joe” are either actively hoping for a Trump win by poisoning Democrat discourse, or are just that stupid they don’t understand how FPTP works and thinks that their impassioned plea for peace in Palestine will convince everyone to vote 3rd party as a monolith.

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world on 05 Oct 2024 12:50 collapse

Check their comment history. It’s the latter.

ThrowawayPermanente@sh.itjust.works on 05 Oct 2024 13:28 collapse

It’s the former. Anyone checking your history would be able to see a pattern of bad faith misinterpretation of other people’s comments, so I’m going to assume that’s what’s going on here, too.

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world on 05 Oct 2024 14:05 collapse

Oh is it now?

When the original comment is unserious I don’t think un unserious reply is out of line.

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world on 06 Oct 2024 12:14 collapse

Remember how you made that pro-Trump comment in the other thread, a comment that’s now deleted, but which people can read in the c/news modlog?

Because I do.

Does this sort of gaslighting often work out for you?

ThrowawayPermanente@sh.itjust.works on 06 Oct 2024 13:15 collapse

Fine, I’ll bite. Which one?

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world on 06 Oct 2024 13:19 collapse

The one in the modlog where you called Trump more honest than Harris. And it was deleted because it’s the sort of silly nonsense that’s mostly only believed by the MAGA faithful who can’t admit that Trump is a pathological liar.

ThrowawayPermanente@sh.itjust.works on 07 Oct 2024 14:19 collapse

I just checked my comment history for the last 2 months and I’m not seeing anything like that. I also checked the modlog on Lemmy.World and this is all I can see. At this point I’m going to have to assume you’re just gaslighting me. <img alt="" src="https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/71596bd9-4e0b-457d-9f5b-8400f7603536.png">

Geopolitics is a dirty game. Most people wouldn’t have the stomach for it. Every world leader has blood on their hands. Let’s move onto more productive conversations.

CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org on 03 Oct 2024 18:15 next collapse

Fun fact, as of last I checked the Russian interest rate was 19% and rising. This will not help.

AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world on 05 Oct 2024 15:26 collapse

Hyperinflation, when?

CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org on 05 Oct 2024 17:54 collapse

Yeah, exactly. At some point you have to think people will stop borrowing from the government entirely, and then the central bank is in the equivalent of an airplane stall - they can pull the lever all they want, but nothing will happen. When that actually happens is a question for a real economist.

ililiililiililiilili@lemm.ee on 03 Oct 2024 20:33 next collapse

Well, today I learned Russia is converting dinosaur juice into 6,200 disposable soldiers each month. That’s depressing as fuck.

Badeendje@lemmy.world on 05 Oct 2024 10:45 next collapse

More if you count maimed and disfigured. And that excludes the Ukranians he actively hurts with this.

InverseParallax@lemmy.world on 05 Oct 2024 10:54 next collapse

Think those are rookie numbers, they’re hitting 1k days pretty often.

But yeah, we gotta pump those numbers up.

ThrowawayPermanente@sh.itjust.works on 05 Oct 2024 12:25 collapse

Ok but consider that you can turn the soldiers back into juice afterwards. It’s not great fuel but it’s decent lubricant.

lorty@lemmy.ml on 05 Oct 2024 11:05 collapse

Why would they though? They profit just the same from the high prices.

InvertedParallax@lemm.ee on 05 Oct 2024 12:08 next collapse

They need the houthis gone and Iran stopped, that doesn’t happen till Russia gives up.

Russia is trying to set the middle east on fire to pull support from Ukraine, and the middle east is where the saudis keep all their stuff.

fine_sandy_bottom@lemmy.federate.cc on 05 Oct 2024 13:32 collapse

They want $100 a barrel. Russia is selling too much at say $90 a barrel. If the Saudis flood the market so it’s only $80 a barrel, it will really fuck Russia’s shit up.

Saudis are hoping Russia starts playing their game with the price fixing.
