Apparently not buying products produced from illegal settlements on stolen Palestinian land is “too large a scope”. Seems waaaay too specific and insignificant to me but apparently that’s what’s keeping all the big corporations up at night
They said they’d do it to get elected; they got elected a year ago. I’d be shocked if they did it now, they’re a bunch of spinless mouth breathers.
It’s more about not buying services from companies that profit from providing services in the occupied territories, such as Airbnb and Booking.com. The Irish government is bending over backwards for the hospitality sector, so this is in line with their policies.
Even products from israelcitself should be boycotted since the settlements are funded by the state and isrsel proper is the one comitting genocide in gaza
Sounds like some pro-genocide corporations are asking to be boycotted
Irish folks, you know what to do.
Ireland does love their corporations. Basically a tax haven.
We don’t, but our dog shit, landlord, centre-right neo liberal ministers sure do!
Also virtual signaling till they actually got to do something.
Man did I fall for it until I moved the fuck out and see what the history books actually tell us.
We need the names of businesses that oppose sanctions. Let’s see how concerned about the impact on investment they will be once we have a list of entities that support genocide.
