Modern Russia finds that the technology of the 1960s Soviet Union is too advanced for them to replicate, press X to pay respects
Nothing kills an empire quite like a kleptocracy.
Ghost of the Ottoman empire quietly exits the room.
I wonder what part of the Soviet Union was responsible for ICBMs?
Like I’ve been saying since several red lines ages ago. Don’t threaten nuclear retaliation if you can’t back it up. Countries with working nukes don’t need to threaten other countries with them, because it’s pretty well known who has them.
For those suggesting that this makes them less of a threat, all you need is one missile to make it all the way to ruin pretty much everyone's day. Also, have a number of live payloads do a failure on launch, they don't make it to the target, but whoever is downwind...again, day ruined.
On the one hand, this is embarrassing for Russia, but on the other hand the UK’s Trident nuclear deterrent failed a couple of times in a row over the last few years, so I’m not going to get too excited about it.
