In only a handful cities today and afaik only in one for 48h… Kinda misleading title
Nah, the article just names a handful of cities, but it’s all over the country. Verdi is one of the biggest unions here, they have members practically everywhere, so the strike is country-wide for the full 48h, affecting all companies that have employees represented by Verdi. But it’s just a “warning strike”, so local buses and trams are operating but on drastically reduced schedules. Most regional and long distance trains are not affected however as they have different unions.
Berlin would be 100% down if it wasn’t for the S-Bahns being DB unions.
