Summary

Counter-terror police are investigating an “unprecedented” fire at an electrical substation near Heathrow Airport, which forced the closure of Europe’s busiest airport, affecting over 1,300 flights and hundreds of thousands of passengers.

The blaze, which broke out Thursday night, damaged the primary and backup transformers. Authorities say there is no indication of foul play but have not ruled out any causes.

Power was restored to most affected areas, but two terminals remain offline.

Disruption is expected for days as airlines scramble to accommodate stranded travelers.

No terrorism, just normal infrastructure collapse of a failing stagnating state.

I am not from there but calling the UK a failed state is a stretch…

Failed… POV. Stagnant… Definitely.

Maybe, but the same could be said about most European countries. It’s mainly the small ones that are currently „growing“. The established big players have been kinda stagnant for a while.
