That headline is kinda stupid when you think about it. Almost all of the world’s energy system (Ignoring gravity effects) has been solar powered since its existence.

What’s transforming is how humans electrify their gadgets, which you could argue have historically been solar powered as well. That solar energy was just stored in long term batteries.

I was just complaining about these “science” headlines the other day. This one in particular actually startled me a bit because I thought “The Sun is having a moment” was a euphemism for some potentially catastrophic solar flare or something.
