Denmark Rejects Trump’s Plan to Send Hospital Boat to Greenland (www.nytimes.com)

Denmark’s defense minister said Greenland did not need health care assistance, a day after President Trump said he planned to send a “great hospital boat” to the island.

It should also be noted that the US isn’t capable of sending hospital ships right now; it has two, but they’re both undergoing maintenance and not in any way ready to head to Greenland.

Has Trump considered making the ship look like a big horse?

Only if they name it after him first.

Or maybe his penis, since he’s determined to inflict it on them whether they like it or not.

I am not sure, “You, too, can have American healthcare!” is the best of marketing slogans. You know, considering the man that allegedly killed a health care CEO is a veritable folk hero, and such. That should tell you how much even Americans dislike America’s health care system.

Denmark’s health care system be like, bro, if you want we can give you some tips on how to improve your game.

“Oh you looked at the hospital ship. That will be $50,000 in hospital fees. Thank you for paying.”

Ha! So true: a friend of mine injured himself on a mountain bike. An ambulance drove by, stopped, looked at his injury, and tried to bill him thousands of dollars for the privilege.

The man being framed for killing a healthcare CEO but is innocent is a veritable folk hero you mean surely.

Yeah mentioning health care maybe not the best strategy here, what with the ruinously high costs that the entire world mocks and laughs at, ridiculing us for allowing profiteers to overcharge by such an extent on an essential service.

Yeah, he might as well offer to send school shooters, and round out the typical “dunking on the US” checklist.

Trying to woo greenland it might not be the best idea to bring up healthcare at all, what with the astronomical costs for routine care we pay over here, ruinous bills, for many times more than we make in a year, for a single weekend at a hospital that used to cost a modest amount of money.

Like the couple that was from europe and had insurance for this reason, and the insurance tried to cheat them because it’s American so of course it does because who is going to stop them, and got a bill for 200,000 dollars, for their baby to be delivered. I forget if it was a c section or what, nothing too complicated though, a weekend in the hospital, 200,000.

My trip to a specialist, 45 minutes with them, they sent a bill for 1,050. But insurance paid for it, but they sent that bill hoping I would pay anyway so they could either get double paid or just not pay themselves.

That is the kind of care they can look forward to if they join team America. It’s great for some unless you get sick or down on your luck in which case god hates and you and you deserve to die sorry we don’t make the rules. If god wanted you to live he wouldn’t have put you in a position to be charged 200,000 dollars for a procedure that we won’t do until we get the payment up front. Start a gofundme drive bitch! /s

My wife spent almost 2 weeks in hospital, after our child was born. The biggest expense was parking, at £25. £12.50/week.

Socialised health care is awesome.
