Senators like John Thune and Mike Lee and House Reps like Mike Johnson and Celeste Maloy enable the PEDOnald to say and do these things day after day. That agreement was always fake. The US would never agree to paying reparations. Trump was just pumping the stock market before making billions. The US government pays and Trump gets paid. Rinse and repeat.
Why would Trump care about the US government paying Iran money? It is not Trump’s money.
As long as the billionaire-owned Trump supporting media in the US doesn’t make a big deal out of it, why would it have negative consequences for Trump? While not completely analogous, Trump seems to have gotten away just fine with giving Argentina $billions.
Not his money, but paying up means he’d have to admit that he lost his stupid war. There is no way to spin a positive story about giving money to a hated adversary.
I mean they could just lie and say it’s to intevest into American owned infrastructure to rebuild Iran into the most wonderful, beautiful, second to the USA, of course, non nuclear, my uncle was a nuclear engineer and I understand this stuff very well too.
