Putin conducts election interference as concerns of Putin’s election interference grow. Yup, sounds about right.

dan1101@lemm.ee on 05 Sep 2024 14:27 next collapse

That ridiculous, Trump is the best useful idiot he has. If Putin is saying he prefers Harris it’s only to take advantage of his infamous status and get people not to vote for Harris.

ThunderWhiskers@lemmy.world on 05 Sep 2024 15:02 next collapse

He’s literally trolling. Chaos in the West in any form only benefits Putin.

InvertedParallax@lemm.ee on 06 Sep 2024 10:41 collapse

We should troll him back, tell Ukraine they can fire wherever they want.

It’s just a prank, bro!

Orbituary@lemmy.world on 05 Sep 2024 15:37 collapse

He’s trying to get Trump riled up, which would make him even more chaotic and frantic. This is a tactic to get under the skin of his most useful idiot. Putin knows he could reel him back in with a word.

GoddessNoAi@lemmynsfw.com on 05 Sep 2024 14:31 next collapse

Just setting up plausible deniability against accusations of helping trump.

Orbituary@lemmy.world on 05 Sep 2024 15:38 collapse

Not sure you quite understand how plausible deniability works.

GoddessNoAi@lemmynsfw.com on 05 Sep 2024 15:52 collapse

I’m quite sure you don’t understand how it works.

Orbituary@lemmy.world on 05 Sep 2024 15:59 collapse

No you are.

wurzelgummidge@lemmy.world on 05 Sep 2024 15:26 next collapse

Putin is just taking the piss because he lives rent free in America’s head.

InvertedParallax@lemm.ee on 06 Sep 2024 10:44 collapse

He’s losing thousands a week, sometimes daily.

That’s some pretty steep rent.

Edit: thought about it more, it would be steep for us, but Russians don’t actually value their lives so sending their kids into the meat grinder for troll value sounds about right.

Daxtron2@startrek.website on 05 Sep 2024 15:41 next collapse

Man known for frequently telling lies and inciting division in other countries, tells lies and incites division in other countries. Shocking.

EmpireInDecay@lemmy.ml on 05 Sep 2024 15:43 next collapse

I’m more concerned about the ignored $100m in AIPAC interference in our elections.

Zipitydew@sh.itjust.works on 05 Sep 2024 18:01 next collapse

Hey you should really try a different talking point. It didn’t work yesterday either.

Drusas@fedia.io on 05 Sep 2024 18:18 next collapse

Focus. This thread is about Putin.

EmpireInDecay@lemmy.ml on 07 Sep 2024 04:16 collapse

And it should be focused on AIPAC.

Drusas@fedia.io on 07 Sep 2024 05:27 collapse

No, it shouldn't be. It's possible for more than one thing to matter at a time. You're coming across as extremely juvenile in not being able to grasp that concept.

sandbox@lemmy.world on 06 Sep 2024 09:40 next collapse

Why are you only concerned about AIPAC’s money and not the billions of dollars from thousands of other PACs?

EmpireInDecay@lemmy.ml on 07 Sep 2024 04:16 collapse

Pacs should not exist, but Aipac is a direct threat to everybody.

sandbox@lemmy.world on 07 Sep 2024 16:30 collapse

Please explain why AIPAC is more of a threat than other PACs

EmpireInDecay@lemmy.ml on 10 Sep 2024 04:48 collapse

Every member of Congress, except 1, has a member of staff that is directly associated with AIPAC to ensure that member of Congress is doing what he has paid to do by AIPAC. AIPAC has spent over $100 million disrupting actual democracy in the US this election season.

InvertedParallax@lemm.ee on 06 Sep 2024 10:43 collapse

I don’t like that either.

But this hurts us 1000x more.

Though hey, lets restrict all of this bullshit foreign political influence, fine by me!

Broken_Monitor@lemmy.world on 05 Sep 2024 15:44 next collapse

Alright so if I was the leader of a country and looking at my enemy country’s election I would consider saying I support someone who I don’t want to be in office so that people vote for the person I do like. But then again maybe I would know that people would know that so I would choose to support the opposite person instead. But then I think to myself “they probably know that I would know that they know I know what they know. And knowing is half the battle.” And realize G I Joe might just fuck himself up regardless of who I pick so I just choose a side and laugh about it because it doesn’t matter who I choose, only that I’m saying something to fuck with that entire country.

G.I. JOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEE!!!

HubertManne@moist.catsweat.com on 05 Sep 2024 17:47 next collapse

of course he does. ever since he got himself involved with trump he has gotten his loser cooties. trumps very existence emits loser vibes to anyone who has been involved with him in any way.

Tylerdurdon@lemmy.world on 05 Sep 2024 17:47 next collapse

Well of course it’s a joke.

Olhonestjim@lemmy.world on 05 Sep 2024 18:04 collapse

I would be so happy if the next thing that dies from Trump’s touch is Putin.
