There were like fifteen tickets at a $60 price point, which were technically the cheapest tickets but were basically just a fiction. The nosebleeds for the final do start at like twice that, but group stage matches are cheaper. I do think your broader point is spot on ā this is a way to lower prices without admitting theyāre lowering prices due to suppressed demand.

āhospitality suiteā is not a private suite, itās one big room with a shitty buffet and is so crowded you wonāt want to be in there if you care about the game at all.
Iām currently on a training plan to get a prestigious Strava KOM on a slightly dangerous route and my plan is to make an attempt during every England world cup game because itās the only time thereās nobody on the roads. Donāt plan on watching any of it this year.
