Literally starting a land invasion after the war and trying to play the victim…

Hezbollah said its fighters launched attacks on Israeli forces attempting to advance into Lebanese territory.

The group said an Israeli military unit was lured into a “kill zone”, where three Merkava tanks were destroyed near the Ali al-Tahir area south of the country.

A second Israeli unit attempting to retrieve the first group was then targeted with a rocket barrage and mortar shells.

In a statement posted on social media on Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to make Hezbollah pay a “heavy price” for its attacks.

“Israel will remain in the security zone in southern Lebanon for as long as necessary for the protection of the communities of the north,” he said.

It is worth pointing out that that is literally the statement from a terrorist organisation who is currently fighting against Israel. Not to say Israel is better, but probably worth a bit more caution than just to believe them straight up

Anyway can we just completely get rid of both of them for the good of humanity

They are a Lebanese force and the reason Lebanon was liberated from Israeli occupation in the first place.

But Israel is a colonizer state, which seeks to steal and occupy more land. So every decade Israel makes an attempt to re-occupy Lebanon and faces resistance from the Lebanese.

Hezbollah was founded in 1982 by Lebanese clerics in response to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon

Considering they’re literally still defending against Israeli invaders…

It’s hard to call them terrorists and not “freedom fighters” reminiscent of any populace that takes it upon themselves to fend off an invasion.

Like bro, what else are the people supposed to do?

Just let Israel take their land?

That was tried 70 years ago, they just keep taking more.

And that’s not even getting into how one wing does have substantial power in Levanon’s government…

That doesn’t mean they aren’t terrorists, especially given the Lebanese government has been trying to get rid of them to no avail because, like you said, one wing has substantial power. Hell, half of Israel’s government got into power based on ideology that thier neighbours would always invade and try to get rid of them and therefore they should become fascists, that doesn’t make them not terrorists either. If they wanted to actually help Lebanon and its people instead of furthering their own and Iran’s goals, they could fucking work with the Lebanese army.
