The 10 year jail time is just for when you throw your cigarett butt on the ground, CEOs will pay max 3%, and because it was the first 5 times they get 2.5% less.

And in the end, the ceo promises (WITH CROSSED FINGERS!) he will never do it again, and just plants some trees.

I’ve long thought it absurd that you can go to jail for pissing in your neighbor’s well, but if you build a factory that dumps piss in everyone’s wells that’s just business.

OK, would you take $50 million in profit in exchange for 10 years in prison? I bet a lot would.

What if guilty corporations faced nationalization? Fines & promises to never do it again aren’t adequate. Face real threat (losing control) for doing awful things.
