“Trump’s tariffs on steel and aluminium could see billions of dollars’ worth of Canadian metals being redirected and dumped on Europe. Could this spark a second transatlantic trade war?”

Just at the point we need to build an army. Oh no!

Exactly. Europe should see all Canada’s steel and aluminum as a godsend for all the tanks, vehicles, and guns they’re going to need to build and use to stop Russia.

Very unlikely and speculative that EU should hang Canada out to dry. If aluminum should be a huge problem, it will be regulated to not be too disruptive.
Canada and EU already have a trade agreement, with both Canada and EU facing unstable American policies and market, both have an interest in closer relations.

Could, but should not. It would be against everyone’s best interest.

A lot of things could happen. Maybe Unicorns will be discovered in the wild tomorrow, which would be about as likely as this happening.
