Yes, because they keep children indoors so they don’t receive enough vitamin D. There’s evidence that reduced time spent outdoors has precipitated a dramatic rise in myopia for the same reason.
And not just that, healthy bone growth is stimulated by regular use of the bones - so going outside again.

You think I am going to give them milk? Purchased from the gubmint with my Obama food card? When I can get milk for free if I had a farm? Which I don’t. It’s the concept of the thing. And chronic carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow in kids as young as 18. Its the only reason they retire and also gets them disqualified from mandatory military service. What they have to do instead is basically street cleaning and painting schools and crap

They only say “a growing trend” of non-clinical treatment without actually giving numbers. Does that mean the absolute numbers are going up, the proportion of non-clinical to clinical are going up, or that more people are talking about it on social media?
Wow where’s the outrage from the “children can’t decide to take hormones for themselves, it’s wrong and they’ll have to live with it forever” crowd? Hmm…
Not defending anyone but this appears to be mostly idiot parents injecting their kids with hormones in the hopes it will support their development (but likely messing it up). I fail to see the connection you’re making…?
I had a growth hormone deficiency as a kid. Without the daily hormone injections for 6 years, I would be 3’2 right now. I got to 4’11 before my growth plates fused.
