Trump also forced Ukraine to develop their own cheaper version of HIMARS. Then there was also the Iran war where the one outstanding thing USA had, patriot defense, was suddenly out of stock. Let’s not speak about modern drone warfare, where the USA can’t even compete, seeing how well Hormuz went. Shenanigans with how USA suppliers handled their customer’s money didn’t help. Art of the Deal stuff, really. Profitable in short term, devastating for long term repeat business.
