For years I (as a speaker) was telling people (attending biggest MS local conference in Slovenia) that clouds and services (it was mostly about Microsoft’s one) from US companies (well, for any company based outside EU) is a no go due to all sorts of privacy, security and leverage reasons. They were grinning and/or looking sideways at me. And here we are.
And it’s been known a long time. For example Munich switched to Linux and then back to Windows and totally coincidentally Microsoft built an office there. Nobody really cares. It’s like we’re all playing this game but rules are only enforced if the money is not enough.
But let’s talk and behave as if that is totally unrelated.
It’s because capital has seized the means of democracy across all western “democracies”.
When the majority of the political class at the state and federal level are pre-screened, pre-positioned, financed, and promoted (through MSM ownership) by the richest 1%, the result is functionally equivalent to capitalist dictatorship. As long as the corrupt hold a majority, the rich are ultimately in control.
Let’s make lobbying criminal again.
