On October 28, Rio de Janeiro’s police besieged the Penha favela for 15 hours, killing at least 121 people in the city’s worst massacre. Brazil’s right is hailing it as an anti-crime victory while overlooking their own links to violent gangs.

I watched a video that showed a gang member with pink hair surrendering to the cops, and they taking him (and ~30 others) as prisoners.
Another video showed this person’s decapitated body in a forest.
I’m convinced he was a gangmember, but WTF.
Let me guess, instead of policing this favela they just terrorized, they are going leave a power vacuum.
