The Houthis decided to take power after the Saudi-backed candidate ran unopposed in the election (which, y’know, is the sign of a functioning democracy that represents the people). Following almost a decade of hostilities with Saudi Arabia using US military assets, and after Saudi Arabia finally extricated themselves from the quagmire, I guess we’re going right back into it?
Clearly, more violence is the answer to current world events.
When the Houthis continue to put missiles into nearby passing cargo vessels, yes. Or is your solution to give them a few stern words and let them continue to blow up civilian cargo ships?
I would do it ourselves without Saudi Arabia and The UAE. Calling them “allies” is a stretch.
Military action has often been necessary to protect international shipping. They wouldn’t be discussing this if houthis had kept their attacks on land
