Impossible to ignore, you say? Hold my beer.
~ US politicians
The problem is fossil fuels have way deeper pockets to pay bribes, and generally speaking, bribery is legal in the US.
“We have specialists trained to ignore even the hardest of troubles!” ~ USA politician probably
It’s so funny to me (in a depressing way) that the known outcome of destroying the planet doesn’t move the needle away from fossil fuels much, but one crazy guy starting a war and demonstrating obvious market volatility sends all the people previously unconcerned into a race to install solar capacity. I won’t complain about the outcome but the motivations are so selfish and short sighted that it’s really hard to cheer for.
Well, at least the parents of those Iranian girls that got slaughtered at school can live with the thought that their deaths were not in vain, it made the rich finally let go of the reigns so that we maybe maybe maybe can still stave off our own extinction.
Yay humanity!
