It sure would be nice if Americans could donate to disaster recovery in Cuba, wouldn’t it?

We can. The embargo does not affect food donations.

§ 515.206(b) of the CACR stipulates that the prohibitions in the CACR do not apply to transactions incident to the donation of food to nongovernmental organizations or individuals in Cuba.

Would be great if we could donate money to help infrastructure repair so they can cook the food.
