The small South Caucasus nation of Georgia has become a multi-billion dollar hub for the international used car market. The vehicles are mostly sourced from the US, and many appear to be ending up in Russia.

So you’re saying they go from Georgia to Georgia.
Poor russians, now they have to deal with the garbage cars produced in the US.
The junked garbage cars.
Enjoy your Kia made from 4 different Kias with basic structural faults.
From the videos I’ve seen, it’s all Mustangs and whatever cars they hit if the crowd doesn’t slow them down enough.

Holy shit I need to watch that movie again. It’s unfathomable to me how he can play that character with a straight face.
It's a step up, many people are still driving shitboxes from the USSR era.
Nothing says superpower like importing other countries’ wrecks.
Then again, it’s this or a Lada.
Nothing says superpower like producing Ladas.
What? I will have you know that they’re the most beautiful cars ever built! And if you add a few finishing touches, you look real tough.

Real tough.
So where do you fit the machine gun?
The front grill slides down exposing the guns, James Bond style
In the back seat, of course.

Did no one think to change the suspension out during the modification process?
Talk about a shitty technical.
They did not. They just saw a machine gun and a Lada and decided they knew what to do.
Shitty technicals are a dime a dozen, but this clearly had money, time, and skilled labor, all invested into it.
The gun turret looks decently welded to the body, possibly even the frame.
Replaced the glass on the back windows with metal for extra blast fragment and ricochet shielding. Possibly even additional steel plating for direct small arms fire protection, given how low the suspension is sitting.
Did one of the workers steal the suspension upgrade for himself? Is it designed only to be mobile long enough for it to get into position and lock itself down once the axle snaps?
Or did they blow the entire budget before realizing how fucked they were?
I’m putting the percent of factory lada parts in that at 5%.
And yet it’s still really fucking ugly.
Pimp my Matchbox
For 5k USD (if google is right), I’d drive it.
It’s 5k for a reason. I wouldn’t want to be in one and involved in a crash.
In town, doing 30-45…I’ll risk it. At highway speeds, probably not.
They’re trying to cash in on the extended warranties.
I knew it! Extended warranties are a psyops!
I assume most don’t end up in Russia but in richer EU countries. Those cars are repaired and made presentable again in some backyard mechanic shop in Georgia and the Baltics, then thrown on the used car market.
This reminds me of the (I think several?) dudes who were selling used trucks to the middle east either directly or through a proxy with most of them being bought by the various insurgency/terrorist groups.
