Fuck Ukraine

Fuck Cuba. They sent soldiers to kill Ukrainians in Russia’s genocide.

Ukraine is a hostage because they can’t live without US support.

Cuba is a hostage because it can’t live without outside (Russia, China, or others) assistance with the embargo in place.

It’s a big dog’s world.

There is a difference in one only voted on a resolution in the UN, the other has sent soldiers to kill Ukrainians (and voted against Russian withdrawl from Ukraine in the UN)

Ukraine has never sent soldiers to kill Cubans.

If it was like-for-like - just UN votes - then I’d agree, but Cuba sends people to kill Ukrainians.

You cannot cry about how people killed in war is a red line and in the same sentence hand wave away un votes as unimportant. How many lives did the sanctions on Cuba take or at least meaningfully destroy?

Cuban participation in the war appears primarily driven by its severe economic crisis

That is from the US Department of State.

Judge the Cubans if you must, but most are likely enlisted by russian recruiters under false pretenses, or because getting shot tomorrow in someone else’s war is still better than dying of starvation today.

Cuba also cured thousands of Ukrainian children in aftermath of chernobyl for free, they continued sending doctors to ukraine from 1990 up until 2011, how has ukraine paid for that? by supporting sanctions against them. source: theguardian.com/…/cuba-chernobyl-health-children

Cuba is under sanction and Russia is one of the few countries who can defy American sanctions to help them as they have done atleast twice: aljazeera.com/…/russia-sending-second-ship-with-o…

edit: I oppose russian invasion of ukraine and I think putin is a criminal maniac
