Let’s base it on tomorrow’s oil refinery instead

Paddy_NI@lemmy.world on 23 Jun 18:42 next collapse

Wtf… Just fucking shave it off man. 🤷‍♂️

Cosmonaut@lemmy.today on 23 Jun 18:56 next collapse

just fucking stop the war man

tal@lemmy.today on 23 Jun 19:52 next collapse

He further claimed that Russian military units are advancing every day.

My suspicion is that Ukraine can afford to slowly yield farmland for longer than Russia can afford to give up energy infrastructure, at present rates.

chronicledmonocle@lemmy.world on 24 Jun 12:46 collapse

Yeah historically the person winning is always asking for peace talks. Duh. Clearly Russia is winning so hard that they feel bad.

panthera_@lemmy.today on 23 Jun 19:56 next collapse

This is what Europe should propose to Putin. Russia will withdraw from all land it seized from Ukraine after the 2022 invasion. NATO would be dissolved and replaced with a European alliance. Ukraine and Canada would be permitted to join but not the US. All sanctions against Russia will be lifted. Russia will not be required to pay reparations. If Putin doesn’t accept the proposal, the UK and France would send troops to Ukraine.

lepinkainen@lemmy.world on 23 Jun 20:01 next collapse

Fuck UK and France only.

Poland, Estonia and Finland are antsing for some payback

panthera_@lemmy.today on 24 Jun 03:13 collapse

Too many countries and Putin would say that he is being overwhelmed and must go nuclear.

phutatorius@lemmy.zip on 24 Jun 07:46 collapse

He says that everything his balls get stuck to the side of his leg, it’s just a reflex at this point.

psx_crab@lemmy.zip on 24 Jun 05:13 next collapse

Do you want fries as a side on that silver plate of Wagyu steak you’re about to serve to Putin?

panthera_@lemmy.today on 24 Jun 14:27 collapse

Something has to be given to Putin to entice him to end the war. My proposal would do it with Ukraine losing very little territory.

phutatorius@lemmy.zip on 24 Jun 07:42 next collapse

Nope, they should get out of Crimea too. And it’s up to the Europeans what happens to NATO. Dissolving it is one of Putin’s objectives, and he or his successors should be denied.

Sanctions against war crimials should stay, and reparations should definitely be on the table. Say a $300 bn investment fund? There’s recent precedent for that when an insane dictator attacks a medium-sized country and fails.

panthera_@lemmy.today on 24 Jun 14:24 collapse

Putin would never accept those terms. The goal is to end the war and stop the bloodshed. Each side is not going to get everything they want.

Honytawk@discuss.tchncs.de on 24 Jun 09:37 collapse

Putin has nothing to demand of NATO. It was specifically created to counter the expansionism of countries like Russia.

It will never get dissolved as long as those kinds of countries still exist.

panthera_@lemmy.today on 24 Jun 14:21 collapse

Dissolving NATO would entice Putin to accept my proposal to end the war in Ukraine. A European alliance which would include Ukraine should be capable of deterring Russian aggression.

lmdnw@lemmy.world on 23 Jun 20:07 next collapse

Can someone just kill Putin already?! I can’t think of many who deserve a bullet to the head more than this psychopath.

pipe01@programming.dev on 23 Jun 21:40 collapse

I can think of one

BassTurd@lemmy.world on 23 Jun 22:26 next collapse

There’s definitely an argument to be made. Really they’re just two sides of the same coin.

MonkeMischief@lemmy.today on 24 Jun 05:15 next collapse

It’s freaking telling, when I’m getting spam in Russian, telling me about “A $1439 reward from Trump.” LMAO.

phutatorius@lemmy.zip on 24 Jun 07:41 collapse

Two cheeks of the same oligarchic ass.

SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de on 23 Jun 22:29 next collapse

we surely can afford two bullets, even in these times

Witchfire@lemmy.world on 24 Jun 01:14 next collapse

You can go literally anywhere in the world and say “I eagerly await the day he dies” and people will immediately know with high certainty who you’re talking about. That hasn’t been a thing since Hitler.

And you know what, that’s his own doing. That his true legacy. He’s the new comparison point for evil.

phutatorius@lemmy.zip on 24 Jun 07:41 collapse

I still think that, when one goes, the life expectancy of the other will also be drastically shortened.

Ilovethebomb@sh.itjust.works on 23 Jun 22:53 next collapse

Hahaha. Lol. They’re losing ground, their oil infrastructure keeps exploding, and they want to go back to the prior terms?

Greyghoster@aussie.zone on 24 Jun 01:11 next collapse

Ukraine initialed an agreement to keep the peace and Russia invaded. Ukraine now is expected go with that old agreement after all the pain inflicted?

lennybird@lemmy.world on 24 Jun 02:46 next collapse

Putin is desperate but still trying to save face lol. Keep pounding 'em, Ukraine!

MonkeMischief@lemmy.today on 24 Jun 05:13 collapse

“Sorry can’t hear you, Pooty. Your munitions cooking off and your bridges crumbling deep within your borders are too loud!”

phutatorius@lemmy.zip on 24 Jun 07:37 next collapse

There’s only one way that this should end, and it’s not on Putin’s terms.

Let’s see what Putin says when Ukraine takes back Crimea.

x00z@lemmy.world on 24 Jun 08:12 collapse

I think the only thing Putler can get away with is Crimea, but that would require him to accept all the other terms set by Ukraine.
