Warplanes levelled several buildings in the centre of Beirut, filling the skies with smoke in what Israel’s defence minister said was “a surprise strike” on the pro-Iranian group Hezbollah.

How is bombing the middle of a city filled with civilians a strike on Hezbollah? Israel only knows how to be terrorists, this is the same playbook as Palestine. Kill mountains of civilians in civilian areas, then make a vague claim of insurgent activity in the area.

That’s their playbook those psycopathic fascist genociders. And Iran and it’s allies are the only ones fighting them. I hope it rains missiles on them for days and days until their stolen land is decimated and erased.

I think part of the strategy is to generate future terrorists. It’s much easier to be a victim when you are a victim. And by “you” I mean regular citizens, not the ones bombing others. They’ll never get what they deserve.

If you look at social media, the bots are already out defending it. Those civilian apartments were hiding Hezbollah, just like the Gaza hospitals were hiding Hamas.

Israel has a right to exist, but apparently Lebanon does not.

“Striking Hezbollah” is the new “Hamas tunnels” and just like for the last one the Press in many places (most notably the UK and US) is purposefully using that messaging.

This is why in this article in The Guardian (which has a long track record of Consent Manufacturing and cheerleading for Israel) the subtitle they use is:

‘Largest coordinated strike’ against Hezbollah since war began prompts warnings Iran could pull out of ceasefire

rather than

Claimed by Israel ‘Largest coordinated strike against Hezbollah since war began’ prompts warnings Iran could pull out of ceasefire

Sure doesn't sound like a ceasefire. Maybe I don't understand the term.

Vance said it was a ‘misunderstanding’ so I guess we don’t understand it at all

Atelopus-zeteki@fedia.io on 09 Apr 13:17 collapse

"Whoopsidoodles, I bombed a bunch more stuff after I got you to agree to a ceasefire." ,Vance. Always look more keenly to what someone does, moreso than what they say.

Israel wants war and will continue to drag the US back into war until the US properly punishes Israel. The tail is wagging the dog and it needs to stop.

You make it sound like one of those '50s “what she needs is a good spanking!” shrew-taming movies

another israeli ‘ceasefire’

Typhoon@lemmy.ca on 09 Apr 01:38 next collapse

Israel won’t let this war end. They need the chaos so they can keep their war of aggression to steal more land.

EndlessNightmare@reddthat.com on 09 Apr 02:07 collapse

Lebanon really needs some fucking air defense systems. This is absolutely ridiculous.
