“Your success is our success,” Rubio told Orbán. “This relationship we have here in central Europe through you is so essential and vital for our national interests in the years to come,” he added

The EU needs to figure out a mechanism to deal with member governments going rogue

I vaguely heard that they want to change procedures for EU initiatives away from vetoing, so Orbán can’t hold things hostage like he did with Ukraine aid initially. He was already asked to go drink some coffee when they were planning another aid package sometime in 2024.

However, I wouldn’t be surprised if changing the procedures takes twenty years.

I have been seeing that EU Parliament is waiting to see the outcome of the Hungarian election, and if orban wins again they’ll pursue an article 7 vote to stop them from meddling.

It would be so great if Orban and his party get absolutely stomped in the upcoming elections

Literally stomped would be even better, especially if a curb is involved.

So essential that they helped Orban manufacture a sex scandal against the main opposition candidate)) It backfired, everyone whom I asked about Peter Magyar now overlook his shady background and consider him relatable and keeping up with the times.

Essential because it weakens the EU

Just like the American coup of Ukraine and the following war. Too many Europeans are very “Russia bad, gringos good!” and bloodthirsty so the war will continue. 😔

The war continues because UA wants to not be genocided.

How big do you think chances are Trump congratulates Orban on winning the election before votes are counted?
