Yes, the governor of La Rioja. Milei is not opposed to this, his only qualifier was that if the currency crashes he will not bail out the province. But he’s perfectly fine with them issuing the currency since it falls in line with his anarchocapitalist philosophy.

On another note, this governor is allegedly extremely corrupt and funds given to the province by the federal government have been known to dissappear without accountability. So whatever this man is going to try will likely be sketchy, and probably fail in the process.

This Milei is an interesting character.

The media painted him as an idiot and the public believed them. But he seems something entirely different. I don’t believe he’s an idiot he just got a different idea about how things work and a new government doing things different increases competition and might bring out something interesting, or it might crash and burn. I’m glad it’s not my government he’s in charge of but then again the country is in a real shit state so maybe I would have voted for him.

I really don’t know much about him. Can someone give a decent video (or article) to a decent high level analysis of his economic ideas for the country? Not lol chainsaw man.
