This is gutting. Seeing elderly farmers blocked from their own groves and finding trees vandalized feels like watching a slow, deliberate theft of livelihood and history. Olive trees are generational property, not just crops, and smashing them is meant to erase presence and hope.

What makes it worse is the impunity. Videos of attackers, soldiers standing by, and a legal system that treats people differently are not accidents, they are a policy problem. If authorities cared about law and order, these outposts would be cleared, perpetrators prosecuted, and families allowed to harvest in safety. Instead victims are left to pick up the pieces.

We should be furious about this, not numb. Share the reporting, support groups that document attacks and protect harvests, and pressure governments and institutions to stop treating this as just another headline. Accountability has to be more than words.
