This weird government obsession with giving private companies their users’ personal IDs is so infuriating…

It’s not a government obsession. It is capitalisms — surveillance capitalisms — obsession. Our governments are almost entirely corrupted by capitalist interests. Their success IS “national security”.

An authoritarian/fascist dictatorship was always the guaranteed end goal of the military industrial complex, secret police, the monetization of attention, and I fear capitalism in general.

Alot of idiots will lie down and take it because they have “nothing to hide”,

Mass boycotts are going to have to become a normalized thing.

Peter Thiel wants to connect your online behaviour to the profile Palantir is building on you. That way they can target people based on their group criteria. We’ve already seen the early version of this with Cambridge Analytica, their business model was built around using facebook profiles and shadow profiles (for those who don’t know, even if you’ve never had a Facebook account, there’s a profile for you based off the information your friends and family have allowed Facebook access to (contacts etc)) to target people with targeted propaganda when they’re at their most vulnerable; at home with their guard down where they feel nice and safe and are more receptive to propaganda.

This is why the right wing have lost their little minds, they’ve been the primary target of Cambridge Analytica, it led to Brexit which we now know was a plan by Peter Thiel and Jeffrey Epstein to destabilise Europe with the goal of returning to feudalism so that they can buy up everything super cheap and own the world.

Their main goal, is to implement a surveillance state which will be bolstered by autonomous weapon systems and facial recognition linked to Palantir’s database, so that they can turn the world into a series of technocratic fiefdoms where the tech bros rule over us with an iron fist.

This isn’t hyperbole or conjecture, these are the things they’re doing and telling us they want to do.

Note, this is ICO not Ofcom, so it’s to do with data collection on minors and not the Online Safety Act.
