Don’t know about the rest of Canada but the RCN has always had a cordial relationship with the Mexican Navy.

Ottowa Liberals trying to make nice with a borderline socialist Mexican government over the heads of the Trumpists must be driving half of Alberta into seizures.

I for one certainly hope so, fuck this province!

Go back under your bridge and stay there.

I think you need to read his comment again. He’s saying that right wingers must have their panties in a twist over this.

With an obvious typo in the spelling of Ottawa. They’re trying to stir the pot like any bridge troll.

I might agree that Conservative extremists are jackasses and a threat, but I disagree stooping to their level of communication.

I dunno. Whenever I see ‘separatist’ type polls out of ‘alberta’, the captions are almost always “this poll was done online, and we can’t actually verify that it was people from alberta responding. We can’t offer a confidence level in the data because it’s not a valid sample”.

So how keen alberta actually is on ditching Canada is, to me at least, still really wobbly. Could easily just be US interests who own media pushing a message (with the support of Danielle, since she’s a US oil industry lobbyist).

Oh sure. Same with the Texit folks. Any actual polls show maybe one in five people even consider it seriously, but you’ll have the governor pop a Confederate Flag out of his wheelchair any time a liberal suggests curbing the state’s litany of abuses.

Its far more a “Fuck you! We’ll do it!” impulse response than an actual platform.

i bet most of the liberals aren’t too keen on it themselves.

Yeah, well, the continued reacting to Trump’s tariff threats like an easy and willing bitch - unlike Mexico - probably ain’t exactly making the Mexicans think that Canada is a reliable enough partner in the face of US pressure.

There really is no point in partnering to resist American Economic Warfare with a country whose government in practice when Trump shouts “Jump!” asks “How high?”.

Same think applies to any partnership with the EU, though the EU too has far to many easy and willing bitches to America in the Commission (who, no doubt, have a ton of blackmail material on many if not most of them).
