Ukrainian drones struck Russia’s Black Sea port of Tuapse on Friday for the fourth time in 16 days as authorities struggled to cope with a growing environmental disaster from toxic black smoke clouds and oil leaking into the sea. Ukraine’s SBU security service said drones had again struck the seaport and refinery that make Tuapse an important hub for Russian oil exports.

Local Russian officials said a major operation was under way to put out a fire at the port but no casualties were reported. The refinery has been hit and set ablaze at least twice since 16 April, halting production, in attacks that have thrown up dense black clouds over the town and caused oil slicks along the coastline, ruining the beaches of the popular resort.

Oh, now they care about the environment…

It is a damn shame though, regardless of who is causing it. Lots of nature damaged, lots of animals in trouble and possibly it’s spreading into the Black Sea affecting others than Russians.

Oh well, shouldn’t have invaded. Don’t sow none, won’t reap none.

Its already out of the ground, it was going in the air either way.

I mean… the point still stands. It also makes it’s way into the sea as acidification even if it’s burned first.

Kinetic petrochemical economic sanctions are a limited ecological price the Russians pay now, to help push the whole world economy away from petrochemical energy sources for the whole future.

That’s a bad fate to consign non-combatants to, but it is accidentally what’s happening.

If we can’t prevent the suffering of civilians, I’d be a little relieved if their situation also pushes us to a far better future.

Damn, that’s crazy.

How was it operating prior to the Special Military Operation?

Day 1,529 of the 3 day Special Military Operation.

Fucking LOL.

It’s cool. Loads of sunflowers have been planted to offset the carbon emissions.
