They missed a trick by not giving East Prussia to a Jewish state as reparations after WW2.
Within the pre-1967 borders, presumably, pending a modern renegotiation.
Given that the majority of Israeli Jews are of middle-eastern, rather than European, descent, they’ll need some sort of home in the middle east, and a non-expansionist Israel with good relations with its neighbours would be the least implausible solution.
Israel makes no such distinction. It offers citizenship based purely on religious affiliation. Is Benjamin Mileikowsky counted as Middle-Eastern because daddy went to university in the Middle East?
the only one that has any remote defense was the pre 1967 borders, as it was what Britain ceeded to Israel that they aquired after the fall of the Ottoman empire. at the same time, it should have been when palestine should also have become an official state.
That is complicated.
