Fuck the governments of both countries to be clear. The pro-israel lobby in the US is doing damage control. They worry that the loudly genocidal members of Netanyahu’s coalition might prick Trump’s ego and cause MAGA to turn on them too.
“If I was in the cabinet of the Israeli government, I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have anywhere left in the entire world.”
He said he would also remind those cabinet members that two-thirds of the defensive weapons that have protected Israel “have been built by American hands and paid for by American tax dollars.” The United States provides Israel with roughly $4 billion in military assistance a year, but the two countries are negotiating a new aid agreement.
Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, a linchpin in Netanyahu’s governing coalition, has harshly rebuked the U.S.-Iran deal and insisted Israeli troops would remain in Lebanon.
Vance criticized Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich in a New York Times interview released earlier on Thursday. “What is your exact proposal? You’re a country of 9 million people. You can’t just kill your way out of solving every single national security problem that you have,” Vance said.

“Oh!”, I thought, "this must be one of the rare occasions when I can agree on something with JD Vance. But then I noticed I had missed the qualifier:
“Oh!”, I thought. “So if you’re 350 million people, you absolutely can?” And I knew that today would be another day when there was nothing to be agreed upon with the eyelined furniture lover.
I mean, he did say “can’t” not “shouldn’t”. Not a problem of ethics but military capacity, lol. 😔
You don’t need allies when you have Mossad.
Vance with that simp energy
Biden admin like redlines bullshit once again
Israeli see that relationship a bit different. They talk like they’re having USA’s balls in their hands and if weapons and money don’t flow in they just have to squeeze harder. And as long as USA doesn’t decrease the amount flowing in when Israel isn’t listening they’re right.
Israel’s popularity in the US is at an historic low. The VP not only acknowledges that, but uses the fact as an implicit threat to keep Israel in line. Meanwhile Democrats are pledging not to accept money from AIPAC, with the mayor of NYC calling that lobbying group “monsters”.
Rational people would view this as Israel’s influence eroding. But conspiracy people continue to insist that Israel is secretly in charge somehow.
