Wow, drills.

That will teach them.

ShittyBeatlesFCPres@lemmy.world on 23 Jan 2024 00:54 next collapse

If you got a better way to teach ‘em than doing drills, I’d like to hear it.

Hammers, drills need power, hammers are manual.

I’ll see myself out.

Everythingispenguins@lemmy.world on 23 Jan 2024 12:34 collapse

What about hammer drills?

You should probably read the title again and reconsider who “them” refers to

avater@lemmy.world on 23 Jan 2024 06:30 collapse

Well it teach them. I see no fucking Russians attacking our NATO borders. and it will also teach them regarding future conflicts because they see what we can do without boots on the ground in Ukraine and with such an exercise they see what we have still in store if they want to fuck up even further.

big military drills are always a threat to the enemy, because they actually prepare your troops, systems and equipment for conflict.. most wars and invasions are preceded by big exercises.. and a 90,000 troop exercise is something special, because it's not just about the readiness of the individual units.. it's about coordinating large troop movements and practicing the big theater things necessary for actual war.. it also primes your logistics and supply lines, and gets everything ready to go on a moment's notice.. it's a big threat..

Whelp.

Is this some LLM copy-paste meme? Did I miss some viral post/thread that led to the above text?

I may need some help/context trying to understand all this…

Imo, way more effort than is worth it posting for the LW chuds 🤣

Exercises like these are extremely beneficial for interoperability.

This is competence on display.

tiredofsametab@kbin.social on 23 Jan 2024 10:58 collapse

They're dentists' drills; the sound alone is horrifying! (I have nothing useful to add)
