Yeah, pretty much. CTV, PostMedia (American owned BTW) outlets and honestly just the entire Canadian media landscape are rightwing leaning and have been carefully sowing anti-immigrant hate.

This article in a vacuum isn’t really wrong and it can be argued that it’s "just reporting the facts" but there’s a pattern of promoting articles repeatedly that are just gentle nudges in the direction of hating foreigners.
