So a lynch mob basically?
Kind of the opposite of a lynch mob since they were trying to free the 9 IDF soldiers arrested for raping and torturing prisoners instead of attempting to punish them. I would call this more an attempted prison break, or possibly even a sort of coup against the rule of law by elements of the Israeli government, if its true those ministers were involved.
True. Terrible mentality đ
Okay that's 9 more IDF soldiers being punished for warcrimes than I expected.
Not necessarily. The âenormous hardshipâ these fascists are protesting is them being questioned at all!
Thereâs still a significant risk that theyâre going to be summarily declared innocent whether or not they actually are, or at most receive a light reprimand, like most Israeli war criminals that even get THIS far.
That... Makes more sense.
Sadly, yes đŽâđ¨
âBetween the lines: The chaotic incidents indicate how much ultranationalists in Israel have been emboldened under Netanyahuâs governments, especially after Oct. 7.
It is also a sign of the disintegration of the IDF chain of command and the militaryâs internal law and order, encouraged by ultranationalist politicians who for years called the military a âliberalâ institution and said it was part of a âdeep stateâ that needs to be dismantled.â
Good summary, especially the last sentence sums it up.
Well thatâs uncomfortable
The Israelis thought the military-
lmfao
Well they didnât let Ben-Gvir serve. Thatâs not a high standard but itâs a standard.
Itâs weird that this is in the news the same time as William Calleyâs death reminds us of My Lai and how solders who commit atrocity are coddled by ultra-nationalists.
