As Gulf states continue to face Iranian fire, Bloomberg reports they are urging the president to seek an ‘off ramp’ from the war while asking allies to bolster air defenses and drone interception, including MAMBA systems now scarce due to shipments to Ukraine

Ah man.
I kind of don’t like Qatar.
But the scale of the conflict does need to end. US Congress has yet to pass a war powers resolution and the only faction in Iran willing to work with us right now is the Shah faction.
But the frackers in the US and oil sand boilers in Canada are warming up their wells already. This has to last another couple months to make it worth it!
The time to increase supply was before, now is the time to be selling it off at high prices.
I sense the sarcasm but onlookers should understand that this is not how the global oil market works. GCC is essential to maintain global demand and intersectional interests of many countries.
Wait, do supply interruptions not increase the price of oil?
It’s my understanding that when oil barrels reach a certain threshold (below $80 a barrel at one point), more expensive extraction methods can be unprofitable.
Canadian oil sands were supposedly at risk of jeopardization by an influx of cheaper crude from Venezuela (if that ever happens).
Sure this will benefit oil producers in the west writ large, and I’m not sure of the capacity of any refineries in North America to process Venezuelan crude, but Canada will not be able to offset losses in global oil production, so the cost of petroleum will increase regardless.
Yeah, that was my original point, that these shirt wars are profitable for oil producers who compete with the Middle East. It’s bad for pretty much everyone else though, for sure.
"Permission denied"
Is there a countdown somewhere. I don’t like hurt and consequences should not be borne by quatar and UAE but damn the Schadenfreude is spiking here.
I feel really evil as a person.
I guess even the world's deadliest war machine has something to lose when run by a demented man baby and his sycophants.
Led by the nose by a warmongerer from Israel
They all are; Trump's incompetence (and incontinence) is what makes him unique.
Something to lose? Maybe. Patriot missiles to sell? Definitely.
The likely ultimate outcome here, unfortunately, is that Ukraine is going to be left high and dry.
Most likely, unfortunately yes.
There is one “if” however. There is a production line of Patriot missiles in Germany, and I hope the German government is refusing export permits to anywhere but Ukraine.
Potentially fake news. Depends if you trust Qatar and the UAE on the matter. I cannot find the original Bloomberg article. I guess we will find out in a few days if they have enough missiles.
Qatar disagrees with Bloomberg and calls them irresponsible.

Same with the UAE.

🤷
The first casuality of war is the truth.
Maybe they should ask Kuwait for some? They apparently have enough extra to shoot at US jets.
I find it hilarious all these Islamic states depended on USA for protection and we bailed on them for Israel as soon as shit got heated. Dumb asses.
