To aid Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, a friend of Russia, in his election, operatives proposed “the Gamechanger” — a staged assassination attempt to stir supporters.

Make sure there’s plenty of cameras nearby when he pumps his fist in the air.

tbf, biden was so senile, I doubt the election really got swayed by that

Trump is twice as senile.

democrats hold their elected officials accountable (sometimes)

republicans have no standards, they’ll always vote their candidate

seeing a senile candidate don’t exactly encourage democratic turnout

The Republican base goes against the party all the time, the difference is the politicians respond by changing policy and they don’t fuck with their primaries as often.

Remember the Tea Party? Trump himself was the voters rejecting the old republican guard. Turns out you get more votes when you do what the base wants instead of what the people who are going to vote against you anyways want.

Dude - Biden wasn’t running. It was a (gasp) black woman.

To be honest, that was a mistake on the Democrats. The US is just not ready for that. It wasn’t even ready for an older white woman. It’s like they felt Trump was so awful, they could get who ever they wanted through. Which in a sane world, would be true. America, choose the rich old white Nazi man-child instead, twice.

There’s also ample statistical evidence that he managed to cheat the vote in key swing states… And he also alluded to the fact that he did.

jabjoe@feddit.uk on 22 Mar 13:30 collapse

I’m sure, but it would be in the margin of error. The bigger problem is Democratics thinking the US is a more evolved country than it is.

Magyar’s reaction at one of his rallies:

It was also reported today in the international press—and confirmed by foreign intelligence services—that Péter Szijjártó was in constant contact with Moscow via a hotline during every session of the European Council in Brussels. At every moment, he briefed the Russian foreign minister—that is, Vladimir Putin—on what was being discussed behind closed doors by European government leaders and heads of state. Please, this is an open betrayal of European and Hungarian interests for the Hungarian foreign minister to brief the leaders of a country at war with a European nation. For Péter Szijjártó’s sake, I looked up the section of the Criminal Code regarding treason.

Any Hungarian citizen who establishes or maintains contact with a foreign government or foreign organization with the intent to violate Hungary’s independence, territorial integrity, or constitutional order shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of five to fifteen years. The penalty is imprisonment for a term of ten to twenty years or life imprisonment if the act is committed by a state body using its position in public service or official capacity.

What Péter Szijjártó did is outright treason. From here in Sopron, I can send this message:

Russians go home, Russians go home! Russians go home!

And JD vance wants to visit Budapest, Hungary in support of Orban and this current government? Wtf?
