Let’s see, Alberta exists because of Treaties 6, 7, and 8, which are with the crown and pre-date the creation of Alberta as a Provence. In order to separate, those Treaties would need to be re negotiated. But perhaps, the separatists are really big on post-colonialism, and they really want Alberta to return to Indigenous title. That might be cool. Oops, I forgot about Treaty 4 and 10.
