Better than going to the potluck and finding that half the food has dairy/eggs/meat and the other half is questionable
Many, many years ago, in college, I had a signature Bacon-wrapped Chicken Alfredo recipe with a sauce of mostly butter, parmesan, and heavy cream (don’t @ me, Italians). I made it for my dorm mates and a bunch of friends, and someone was raving about how great it tastes. I joked that it was also low calorie and low-fat. Some people chuckled, but the joke wasn’t that funny so I forgot about it. A little while later, someone asked me to make it again, and I was like “yeah, I can’t eat that too often because I’d get really fat.” She said, “but I thought it was low calorie and low fat?” I said, “yeah, It’s also vegan!” She was like, “really?! That’s awesome.”
That’s when I learned there are adults who really have no idea what their food is made of.
