What you doing today friend? Anything interesting or fun?
Today’s goal: Survive for 24 hours. Bonus points for not crying.
I feel that :(
ouch
Sorry to hear that! I have like one vegan friend and they live far away so I only see them like once a year if I’m lucky. Vegan meet ups are sparse and it’s sometimes hard to meet someone who has the same values and interests.
Actually, I am quite surprised at how relatively active this community is on lemmy. Happy to see that.
I suppose left leaning people are more likely to be vegan.
I feel you.
I made a chickpea curry for the first time today.
It wasn’t bad at all. Needed salt tho.
Anyone have any tips for finding IRL vegans? Or just making friends in general?
There’s a local shop that sells vegan pizzas, and they have a WhatsApp group. But I don’t use WhatsApp, so…
I could just go to one of the Reddit meetups, considering my city is kind of small, but I haven’t touched Reddit in years.
I used to work in a coworking space, but most of the people there were, idk how to say this, but kind of idiots. And many just try to sell me something.
Well actually the ratio between vegans and non vegans is smaller than the ratio for my vegan friends and non vegan friends. Assuming a 0:0 ratio is valid of course.
Post your street address, work hours and most of your credit card so we can be IRL besties!
My only vegan friend is my wife. (which is pretty dope ngl)
I do really love that this communicates that there far too few Vegans!
I used to find vegan people on Facebook (including GF) but since I deleted that I almost never meet vegans anymore. That was like the one good thing about it.
I hope something else catches on that isn’t ruined by techbros for a long time.
