I care about being healthy and this is the healthiest way, with having all the variety of food from plants that I can manage having in meals, this is including generally having legumes, nuts, seeds, whole grain including bread and pasta from that, and leafy greens along with fruits and vegetables the colors of the rainbow. Don’t just ignore studies, or doctors with their results, including Alona Pulde, MD; Matthew Lederman, MD; T. Colin Cambell, PhD; Caldwell Esselstyn, MD; Dean Ornish, MD; John McDougall, MD; and Neal Barnard, MD. My own results of 10 years with this healthy way I found and being a vegan 12 and 1/2 years and without meat much longer is keeping me quite youthful while I age in numbers, it is benefiting me regardless of what I saw or heard others predicting.

It’s very possible to have a healthy or unhealthy diet both as a vegan or not. Nonvegan foods tend to be more calorie dense and higher in fat on average, but plenty of junk foods are also unintentionally vegan.

I’ve felt good in the years I’ve had a vegan diet, but part of that is me using vitamin supplements to make up for some things that are otherwise hard to get much of. I think I was deficient in a few of them before, but going vegan made it a notable enough issue to actually do something about it. Fortunately, they are very cheap and available in the US.
