Just me, but my decision to go vegan did make my family opt for more plant-based options

I’m so fortunate to not only have my fiancée with whom I’ve started my veganism journey but also her parents as well as our best friends be vegan, so it doesn’t urk me too much that my family isn’t. it’s a battle I won’t even begin to tackle with them - enough other topics that would need dealing with first, like alcoholism

Don’t worry it’ll be Jan soon so they’ll all be on the Veganuary hype train, and you won’t be able to do a proper shop

My sister in law was vegan and everyone ignored it until I joined the family (not my husband, but they aren’t especially close). Everyone is so thoughtful about it with me that I really can’t imagine them being shitty about it with her (though their dad also died shortly before I joined the family, so that might have had an impact). My mother in law does way more vegan baking than I do now, though she can’t quite get behind the idea of aqua faba or maybe she just doesn’t like chickpeas.

The idea of aquafana does sound pretty gross at first.

Yeah, especially because I think it’s funny to translate it as bean water. I’m shooting myself in the foot, but it makes me laugh. She just uses lupin flour though

What, chickpea stock?
