America in a nutshell. 20 year prison sentence for disturbing free lunches to a crowd.
Past that, the article doesn’t seem to want to talk about the simple economic costs of eating meat, much less the impact of food inflation on diet. They frame the choice around nutrition and make allusions to the link with the civil rights movement. But they seem to neglect it’s just a cheaper way to live.
Vegan diets were the most affordable and reduced food costs by up to one third.
Vegetarian diets were a close second.
Flexitarian diets with low amounts of meat and dairy reduced costs by 14%.
Can’t help notice a relationship between higher poverty and lower meat consumption.
