Here are some cool examples I was looking at:

github.com/zardoy/minecraft-web-client — Minecraft in your browser, complete with connections to servers.

github.com/inolen/quakejs — quake 3 in your browser, has multiplayer as well.

Any other good examples? or good lists?

hypersomnia.io can be played in the browser and probably also selfhosted.

oh I have tested this game somewhat, although I’ve never actually played it. It is very impressive.
